Job Title: Legal Recruiting Administrative Assistant Company: Law Firm Location: New York City, in office 3-5 days per week Pay Rate: $25-40/hour Contract: 5 months
Job Summary & Objectives
The Legal Recruiting Assistant Temp supports the Legal Recruiting Team in all efforts related to law student recruitment. Primary responsibilities include assisting the scheduling team in interview attorney preparation, tracking attorney availability during the recruiting season, and entering schedules into various applicant tracking systems. The position will require overtime hours.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
Support schedulers to create both in-person and virtual interview schedules for summer associate candidates.
Track and update attorney interview availability.
Enter schedules into Applicant Tracking Systems.
Print resumes for in-person candidates.
Assist the scheduling team with miscellaneous duties related to the candidate interview process and experience.
Assist in planning and attend recruiting receptions and offer dinners.
Greet candidates and escort them to in-person interviews in the office.
Prepare interview packets for attorneys participating in on-campus interviews, including:
Background information for each school
Supporting materials
Collection of feedback from interviewing attorneys
Liaise with Conference Services and IT, as needed, regarding candidate needs.
Remain current on citywide social offerings throughout the year.
Maintain inventory of promotional items and marketing materials.
Be flexible to adjust hours to meet departmental needs.
Assist in various department projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Required
Bachelor's degree required.
Skills & Experience
Required
1–2 years of experience preferred; legal recruiting or equivalent related experience preferred.
Ability to develop and maintain favorable relationships with attorneys and staff in order to develop successful interview schedules and communicate relevant information related to the interview process.
Professional demeanor with excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing.
Familiarity with MS Outlook.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
Ability to work independently and organize, prioritize, plan, and multi-task work activities in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work overtime.
Client-focused with a personable and outgoing demeanor.
Preferred
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; advanced knowledge preferred.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
The role may involve:
Sitting for sustained periods.
Standing for sustained periods.
Walking, including moving between work sites.
Climbing stairs, ramps, or ladders.
Work Environment
