Position summary

This full-time position is responsible for the preparation and maintenance of various Legal Recruiting initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Legal Recruiting and Assistant Director of Lateral Partner Integration. Recruiting duties include, but are not limited to, coordination of the campus recruitment process and summer associate program, new associate on-boarding, orientation and integration, and assistance with recruitment of lateral lawyers for the Dallas and Denver offices. Responsibilities also include, but are not limited to, the attorney and summer associate hiring process and interaction with other service departments (Payroll, Benefits, Learning & Development, Marketing, Operations, and IT). The Legal Recruiting Coordinator will collaborate with other HR and Legal Recruiting personnel in other officess, provide support to the U.S. lateral partner integration process and assist with special projects.

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Assume a lead role with organizing the campus recruiting and the summer associate program for the Dallas and Denver offices. Create schedules, travel arrangements, pre-arrival information, arrival packages, and follows up with all candidates.
  • Plan and execute summer program events, pre-OCI events, and coordinate attorney participation at law school panels and events.
  • Assist with the registration process for on-campus interviews (OCI) for all regional law schools and select Firmwide schools.
  • Coordinate the early interviewing process for campus recruiting.Create and distribute recruiting status reports as needed.
  • Prepare correspondence for Hiring Partner signature.
  • Work closely with the Recruiting Manager to coordinate all aspects of the lateral associate and counsel recruiting. Direct source candidates based on skillset needs, work with search firms to identify candidates, prescreen applications, schedule interviews, conduct pre-hire diligence, prepare offers and facilitate on-boarding.
  • Track resume circulation, generate offer/rejection letters and emails, and statistical reports using Vi Recruit.
  • Coordinate on-boarding communications and orientation activities for new associates.
  • Update and maintain Vi Recruit.
  • Provide support to the U.S. lateral partner integration process.
  • Understand and become familiar with firm systems, policies and procedures, client services and future goals in order to troubleshoot questions, problems or concerns.
  • Attend administrative meetings with local teams in Dallas and Denver offices.
  • Other Firmwide projects as assigned.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in a professional discipline required.

Experience:Two to four (2-4) years of prior administrative law firm or professional experience required.  Should have a demonstrated understanding of current market trends and philosophies. 

Skills:

Requires strong organizational skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, good judgment, a professional demeanor and the ability to provide an excellent first impression of the Firm. Must work well with all levels of Firm personnel, establish effective working relationships throughout the Firm and react to difficult situations appropriately. Confidentiality is essential. Must be highly motivated, creative, flexible, adaptable to change and results oriented. Must have strong knowledge of MS Offices products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to manage high volume job requisition load and perform multiple phone screens per day while maintaining candidate relationships, and keeping teams informed. Maintain high level of agility and composure when scheduling interviews with individuals at various levels. Demonstrate excellent reading, writing, and listening comprehension in order to make informed judgement calls on candidates' experience. Must maintain up to date knowledge regarding pay transparency laws and other best recruitment practices. Must value the importance of the candidate experience and make an effort to keep candidates informed and engaged. Must possess great interpersonal and communication skills.

Working conditions

This role is classified as hybrid, meaning that you will be required to work in the office four (4) days per week. Occasionally called upon to work hours in excess of your normal daily schedule.

Pay ranges

This is a non-exempt position. The hourly wage range for this role is $35.09 to $40.86, with an estimated annual compensation range of $73,000 to $85,000, based on expected hours. This represents the presently anticipated pay range for this position. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including, but not limited to, location and experience.
