Refugee Women's Alliance (ReWA) is hiring a Legal Services Director / Managing Attorney to lead and run its immigration legal services department.Key DetailsPay: $145,000-$185,000 per year DOEBenefits: Medical, dental, vision, 403(b), PTO, student loan forgiveness, and moreLocation: Seattle, WA. Your work will span leadership, supervision, and program development, including:Legal Leadership & StrategySet the vision and direction for the immigration legal services program, aligning services with community needs and organizational goalsEstablish program priorities, service models, and case acceptance guidelinesStay current on immigration law and policy changes, ensuring the team is informed and responsiveIdentify opportunities to expand services or launch new initiatives to increase access to legal representationTeam Leadership & Case OversightSupervise attorneys, DOJ-accredited representatives, paralegals, and program staffProvide mentorship, legal guidance, and case strategy support across the teamReview and approve legal filings, applications, and motions as neededSupport staff handling complex or high-risk immigration casesEnsure adherence to deadlines, case management protocols, and best practicesQuality Assurance & ComplianceLead quality control efforts, including case reviews and file audits, to ensure consistent, high-quality representationEnsure compliance with professional responsibility standards, DOJ Recognition & Accreditation requirements, and organizational policiesManage legal risk, including conflicts of interest and confidentiality standardsMaintain and strengthen policies and procedures across the legal programStaff Development & TrainingProvide ongoing training and professional development for legal staff and accredited representativesSupport staff pursuing DOJ accreditation and career growth opportunitiesMentor attorneys, fellows, interns, and volunteersProgram Operations & Organizational CollaborationOversee program policies, case management systems, and service delivery processesMonitor caseloads, outcomes, and program performanceCollaborate with leadership on budgeting, resource allocation, and financial sustainability of the legal programContribute legal expertise to broader organizational initiatives impacting immigrant communitiesCommunity Engagement & PartnershipsRepresent ReWA in legal networks, coalitions, and community partnershipsBuild relationships with community organizations, service providers, and pro bono legal partnersSupport outreach and education efforts related to immigration rightsOther duties as assignedReWA is committed to building a diverse, inclusive workforce and workplace.
