Description

The Legal Support Specialist (Business) will provide administrative support to assigned attorneys and paralegals. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and revise documents to support timekeepers, including DocuSign documents, drafts, redlining, proofreading, and revisions based on oral instructionCreate and maintain files, including electronic filesPrepare new business forms, including conflict sheets, engagement letters, and waiver letters for new and existing clientsMaintain attorney calendars, including scheduling and coordinating virtual and in-person client and internal meetings while proactively resolving scheduling conflictsPrepare and process invoices, expense reports, check requests, travel reimbursements, and related administrative requestsEnter time daily and maintain appropriate recordsReview, distribute, and process prebillsPerform legal research as requestedMaintain CLE credits and bar admissions/renewalsMake travel arrangements while adhering to firm travel policiesCoordinate messenger services, large-scale mailings, and copy projectsCopy and print documents as neededUtilize CRM tools to support business development effortsMaintain professional relationships with attorneys, team members, clients, and other firm personnelAssist other timekeepers and team members as neededWork with, delegate to, and provide mentorship to support staff as appropriateKeep abreast of software and procedural changesParticipate in technology and workflow enhancement initiativesPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsMinimum of 4 years of administrative support experience within a law firm or legal department, preferably supporting a corporate or business practiceStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology applicationsAbility to work overtime as neededPreferred QualificationsAbility to navigate and interpret legal procedures and terminology effectivelyBachelor's degree or business college certificateAbility to complete tasks independently in a fast-paced environment while supporting multiple timekeepersStrong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlinesAbility to delegate work effectively when necessaryDemonstrated initiative, diplomacy, and tactExcellent attention to detail, proofreading, written communication, and verbal communication skillsProfessional and client-service-oriented demeanorReliable, committed, organized, and punctualCompensationLegal Support Assistant: $68,250 – $75,075 annuallyLegal Support Specialist: $75,075 – $91,650 annuallySenior Legal Support Specialist: $92,625 – $114,075 annuallyFinal compensation will be dependent upon experience, qualifications, and overall skill set.The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, health savings account (with applicable medical plan), dental, vision, health and/or dependent care flexible spending accounts, pre-tax commuter benefits, life insurance, AD&D, long-term care coverage, backup care for children and/or adults, parental support benefits, parental leave, and fertility benefits.Employees receive 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) annually, in addition to 10 paid holidays per year.#J-18808-Ljbffr
