As a Case Manager, you will serve as the legal assistant to your assigned attorney, supporting parents involved in Juvenile Court proceedings by keeping cases organized, coordinating calendars, and facilitating communication. You’ll manage electronic files, work closely with clients and Court staff, and ensure key systems stay accurate and up to date.

We Require
Two years in a legal setting with knowledge in legal preparations and legal proceedings
High school diploma or GED
Post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
We Also Value
Legal Secretary experience in juvenile dependency/severance law
Experience preparing correspondence and legal documentation
Experience with legal proceedings
Experience working with ICIS
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Job Contributions
Serves as liaison between the attorney, clients, and external agencies
Meets with clients regarding case status and updates the case tracking database as needed
Accepts phone calls from clients on behalf of attorneys
Responds to time-sensitive matters, forwards messages, and enters notes in a shared database.
Drafts legal documents, letters, or other memoranda for attorneys
Maintains attorney court calendars; finds coverage as needed; tracks hearings, filing deadlines, and other critical dates related to cases
Schedules appointments with clients and other stakeholders
Serves as backup for other support staff
Working Conditions
Standing and/or sitting for long period of times indoors
May be required to lift, carry, or push 25-35 pounds for 300 feet
Frequent exposure to traumatic subject matter, interruptions, time pressures, high volume of work, handling multiple or complicated tasks, unscheduled or changing tasks, working closely with others, and public contact
Hybrid work schedule options are available after training based on business needs
