Legal Talent Acquisition Coordinator - Contract (3 months)
Position Summary
The Legal Talent Acquisition Coordinator supports attorney hiring and onboarding efforts. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this role manages interview scheduling, maintains candidate data in the ATS, and helps ensure a smooth, compliant recruiting process. Strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills are key. Prior law firm recruiting experience is a plus.
Location: Remote (must be in Greater Chicago Area)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am-530pm
Pay range: $35-45/hour
Key Responsibilities
Partner with a national recruiting team to support attorney hiring across assigned practice groups
Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities for lateral hires, including job postings, candidate tracking, interview scheduling, feedback collection, and offer letter preparation
Liaise with search firms, candidates (associates and partners), and internal stakeholders to deliver a positive candidate experience
Manage high-volume interview logistics, background checks, and conflict checks
Support reporting needs for HR and business leadership
Assist with onboarding new agency partnerships
Provide administrative support for summer associate processes (e.g., evaluations, event coordination)
Qualifications
Experience in Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables preferred), and ATS platforms such as Workday
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented, proactive, and team-focused
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
3+ years of recruiting experience, within a legal or professional services setting
