Position: Lens/Glass Cleaner
Location: Rochester, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Lens / Glass Cleaners for a temp-to-perm opportunity in Rochester, NY. This position supports precision optical manufacturing by cleaning, inspecting, and preparing glass lenses and optical components for production. The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, enjoys hands-on work, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where quality is a top priority.

Pay Rate:

• $23.00 - $25.00/Hour

Shift(s):

• B Shift: 2:00 PM 10:30 PM

Job Duties:

• Clean optical lenses, glass components, and related materials using approved cleaning methods and equipment
• Inspect lenses for contamination, scratches, chips, and other defects before and after cleaning
• Prepare components for coating, assembly, or additional manufacturing processes
• Handle delicate optical components carefully to prevent damage
• Follow written work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality standards
• Maintain accurate production documentation and inspection records
• Maintain clean workstations and properly organize materials and supplies
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Support other production departments as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing, cleaning, inspection, or production experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to handle delicate materials with care
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and positive work ethic

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to optical manufacturing processes
• Frequent standing, walking, and repetitive hand movements throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 25 lbs.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity required
• Must maintain a clean work area and follow all PPE and safety requirements
