Level 1 Help Desk Technician

Our client in Mountain View is seeking a Level 1 Help Desk Technician to provide day-to-day technical support for employees in a fast-paced research environment. This role will serve as a first point of contact for IT issues and help ensure employees have the technology and support they need.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line technical support for hardware, software, and access issues
• Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, peripherals, and basic network connectivity
• Support user accounts, password resets, email, and collaboration tools
• Set up and configure equipment for new employees
• Track and document support requests and escalate complex issues as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Help Desk, Desktop Support, or related IT experience
• Working knowledge of Windows and/or macOS
• Familiarity with user account management and basic networking
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work with both technical and non-technical users
