Level 2 RN ED

RN – Emergency Department (Contract to Perm)

Location: NY 14456
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 8, 2026)

• Pay: $1,987 – $2,230/week

• Schedule: Full-time, 3 x 12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

  • Shift: Variable Days/Nights

  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  • Rotation: Days/Nights/Weekends/Holidays as needed

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)

  • On-Call: 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period

Position Summary & Responsibilities

• Perform ED triage (ESI), prioritize care, and initiate urgent/emergent interventions

• Assess, stabilize, and manage critical and non-critical patients using appropriate treatments and procedures

• Reassess patients, respond to changes in condition, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary team

• Provide patient/family education, discharge planning, and emotional support

• Maintain safety, infection control, accurate documentation, and a healing environment

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License (required)

• Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience (including 1 year ED experience)

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke/NIHSS certifications (AHA or RQI only)

• Strong critical thinking, triage, and communication skills

• Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call
