Pay: Level 2 - DOE $25 to $30 an hour range+ Per Diem
Level 3 - DOE $30 to $35 an hour range+ Per Diem
Level 4 - DOE $35 to $45 an hour range+ Per Diem

Position Summary
Allstates Consulting Services is seeking experienced DC Power Technicians to support telecommunications, data center, utility, and critical power infrastructure projects throughout the Great Lakes region. Technicians will be responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting DC power systems including battery plants, rectifiers, inverters, BDFBs, and associated power distribution equipment.
This is a travel-intensive position supporting Central Offices, MSCs, Data Centers, Substations, and other critical infrastructure environments. Most of the work is in the Great Lakes area to include MI, OH, PA, IN, IL. Some limited travel opportunities to other states is possible.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Install, test, and commission DC power systems and associated equipment.
  • Perform battery installations, battery replacements, and battery string additions/removals.
  • Install and maintain rectifiers, converters, inverters, BDFBs, and power distribution equipment.
  • Perform live DC power work, hot cuts, and power transitions following approved MOPs.
  • Install auxiliary framing, relay racks, cable ladder systems, and grounding infrastructure.
  • Run, terminate, lace, and dress primary and secondary power cabling.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, audits, and load testing of DC power systems.
  • Troubleshoot alarms, power faults, and equipment failures.
  • Complete job documentation, closeout packages, and daily reports.
  • Maintain compliance with customer, company, and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory as required.

Qualifications
  • Level 2 = 2+ years DC Power, Telecom, Electrical, or Critical Infrastructure experience.
  • Level 3 = 5+ years DC Power, Telecom, Electrical, or Critical Infrastructure experience.
  • Level 4 = 8+ years DC Power, Telecom, Electrical, or Critical Infrastructure experience.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
  • Ability to travel extensively.
  • Ability to lift 70-100 pounds and work in industrial environments.
Preferred Certifications
  • Must be able to travel within the region.
  • Must be able to stay out overnight for 1 to 2 weeks at a time or more as need.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
