RN – Cardiac OR RNFA (Contract)

Location: Rochester, NY 14642
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)

• Pay: $2,837 – $3,175/week

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts

  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (primarily weekdays)

  • Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week

  • On-Call: Required based on unit needs

Position Summary & Responsibilities

Assist in cardiac surgical procedures as an RNFA, including chest exposure and closure, and independently perform vein harvesting for CABG procedures. Support complex cardiac cases and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience assisting with DaVinci robotic cases

• Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac procedures such as:

  • CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)

  • Structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall procedures)

  • Minimally invasive procedures (e.g., mini aortic valve replacement)

  • Heart failure cases (e.g., Impella)

• Heart transplant experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac RNFA experience

• Active New York State RN License (required)

• Telemetry experience required

• BLS & ACLS certifications (AHA only) required

• CNOR certification required
