Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Level 5 Drywall Finisher / Taper for a commercial Walmart remodel project. This role requires a highly skilled professional capable of delivering a smooth, paint-ready Level 5 finish across large commercial surfaces while working efficiently in a fast-paced overnight construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Apply Level 5 drywall finishes on commercial remodel projects
Perform full skim coating on walls and ceilings to achieve a uniform surface
Tape and finish joints with precision, ensuring proper embedding and adhesion
Feather joints and edges seamlessly to eliminate visible transitions
Sand surfaces to a smooth, paint-ready finish meeting commercial standards
Identify and correct surface imperfections prior to final finish
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all job site safety requirements
Coordinate with other trades to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Level 5 drywall finisher/taper in commercial construction
Experience working night shifts (9:00 PM 5:00 AM) required
Ability to work a Sunday through Thursday schedule consistently
Strong knowledge of finishing techniques, materials, and tools
Ability to consistently deliver high-quality, paint-ready finishes
Experience in large-scale remodels or retail environments preferred

Feather joints properly
Sand to a smooth, paint-ready finish
Must bring your own basic drywall finishing tools
Must have reliable transportation
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and productivity
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding
Preferred
Experience with Walmart or other big-box retail remodels
Experience in fast-paced overnight commercial construction environments
