Job Overview:
Pay Range: $18.50hr - $23.50hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Mechanical competency and mechanically inclined.
- Attention to detail.
- Experience with Engines.
- Knowledge of hand tools.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new skills.
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Assists in the teardown of high horsepower diesel engines.
- Rotates through the disassembly of the engine, cleaning of components, and inspection of parts to prepare them for production.
- Stops work and immediately reports any major injury hazards.
- Reports any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard.
- Complies with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Uses appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Corrects hazards within control and capabilities.
- Engages in HSE Training.
- Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), poka-yoke, and visual standards.
- Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.
- Performs quality inspections.
- Identifies and controls non-conforming material.
- Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard.
- Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.
- Performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks.
- Works with peers, skilled trades, and support staff to identify equipment needing repair.
- Communicates effectively with the assigned team and support teams.
- Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, and material flow.
