Overview
The Level II Technician performs all aspects of MHE planned and unplanned maintenance service on LP or electric equipment. Individual must be an expert in one of the two (LP or electrical) and self-sufficient on all repairs associated to this equipment.
This position requires knowledge of mechanics, hand tools, and basic automotive experience. Must have computer experience, good communication skills and good customer service skills. This position will report to a lead tech or manager level and support level 3 techs.
Responsibilities
Responsible for forklift (LP and electrical) Preventative Maintenance services
Fluid change, engine oil, transmission fluid, differential gear lube and hydraulic fluid.
Filter replacements, Air filter, oil filter, fuel filter and ATF filter.
Perform Tune Up's- adjust valves and replace spark plug and spark plug wires.
Brake / riser adjustments
Inspect and repack wheel bearings
Inspect and water forklift batteries on a defined schedule
Battery removal, repairs, and installs
Equipment paint touch ups as required
Attachment pad rotations
Part replacements as necessary - can include horns, lights, tires, etc.
Basic overheating trouble shooting and repair knowledge.
Perform steering trouble shooting and repair
Meet a minimum of 30 Completed PM Services per month
Keep a minimum of a 80 - 90% productivity level
