Job Summary:
Provide reference, research, instructional, and liaison services to support student learning, faculty teaching, and scholarly activity across the university, with primary responsibility for health sciences programs. Develop and deliver library instruction, research consultations, and outreach initiatives. Create and maintain research guides, learning objects, and other instructional materials. Participate in collection development, accreditation support, and assessment activities. Support public services operations, including course reserves, service desk coverage, and student employee mentoring. Build, establish, and maintain effective relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, and community partners. Execute detailed work efficiently to meet deadlines, effectively handle multiple tasks, and use initiative and creativity to solve problems. Perform duties at all library locations and other work sites as required. Provide library services on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled and as necessary to cover service desk hours.
Location: This position is based out of our downtown Honolulu campuses. Particularly at our Libraries located in Waterfront Plaza & Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:
Provide Research, Instruction, and Liaison Services, to include, but not limited to: (65%)
Provide reference and research assistance in person, online, by phone, email, and chat.
Conduct individual and group research consultations.
Develop, deliver, and assess library instruction sessions, workshops, and learning activities.
Create and maintain research guides, tutorials, and instructional materials.
Serve as liaison to assigned academic programs, with primary responsibility for health sciences disciplines.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with faculty and academic departments.
Support curriculum integration and information literacy initiatives.
Assist faculty and students with evidence-based practice, literature reviews, database searching, and citation management.
Participate in accreditation reviews, resource evaluations, and academic program support.
Promote library resources and services through outreach and engagement activities.
Participate in collection development, resource assessment, and collection maintenance activities.
Maintain current knowledge of trends, technologies, and best practices related to research, instruction, and academic librarianship.
Assist with course reserves services and faculty support related to reserves.
Provide service desk coverage as assigned.
Assist with training and mentoring student employees.
Participate in assessment, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with library colleagues to develop and improve services, programs, and workflows.
Participate in orientations, campus events, and student success initiatives.
Serve on library and university committees, task forces, and working groups as assigned.
Engage in professional development activities and maintain awareness of current issues and trends in academic librarianship
Collaborate with campus partners to design and execute outreach campaigns that highlight library collections, learning support services, instructional programs, and student success initiatives.
