Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for a Library Access Assistant. This position offers progressive, hands-on experience in reference services, basic and intermediate systems maintenance, and supervision of student workers, and is intentionally structured to scaffold the growth of individuals who may be new to academic librarianship, providing supported opportunities to develop mastery in core academic library tools and services.
Basic functions include facilitating access to Centenary College's JF Magale Memorial Library for students, faculty, and staff members, with shared responsibility for evening student worker supervision in consultation with librarians. This position is vital to daily library operations with a strong emphasis on customer service and data collection. This is a full-time, 12-month appointment within the division of Academic Affairs, reporting to the Library Director.
