The Arrowhead Union High School District seeks a highly motivated, energetic part-time Library Aide. This position is located at our South Campus and works during the school-year, Monday through Friday from 9:15 AM-3:00 PM.

We seek self-motivated individuals with the most positive of attitudes. Applicants should be excited about working with high school students and staff. Experience working in a public high school or library is desired, but not required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinate and manage daily media center activities for students, faculty and staff, and classes.
  • Assist students and staff in the use of media center resources.
  • Order books, magazines, videos, AV Equipment and other media center material as required.
  • Discipline students as needed.
  • Utilize and facilitate use of computerized media center resources such as WISCAT and Follett systems.
  • Help manage circulation of materials.
  • Maintain media center catalog and inventory.
  • Internet resources
  • Possess word-processing skills and the ability to develop presentation slides.
  • Troubleshoot media center computers and other equipment.
  • Assist and maintain AV equipment.
  • Maintain additional computer labs for the use of teachers and their classes.
  • Promote and maintain a flexible, cooperative, positive, team oriented attitude.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
