Position Summary
The Library Assistant delivers a high level of quality library services ensuring the provision of value-added
experiences for all customers and performs routine tasks in support of the library.
Essential Functions

- Promote the library's collection and services
- Perform circulation activities
- Provide service desk coverage
- Provide materials to appropriate bins for transfer
- Provides research assistance to customers
- Utilize integrated library systems software
- Assisting customers at several service points
- Training and assisting customers on various library policies, procedures, and processes
- Collaborating with Librarians to deliver programming and outreach services
- Assisting with volunteer management
- Perform shelving and weeding duties
Minimum Qualifications
Experience

Minimum of one year of customer service experience including library or retail.

High School diploma or equivalent
