Position Title Library Assistant - PT PIN 673000 Classification Summary
Incumbents perform general and basic functions to support the operation of the Library. Responsibilities may include providing assistance for circulation and materials processing procedures; working with other colleges and the MOBIUS consortium to resolve ILL issues; and processing serials and materials.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree or a minimum of a high school diploma and 2 years of related experience.

Essential Job Function
These are the job duties that are required of the position.
Classification Duties
Perform daily circulation desk operations, including checking in and checking out library materials; creating and updating online patron registration records; placing and removing holds on student records; handling cash transactions; and, maintaining circulation policies. (B2)
Prepare statistical reports using integrated library software reporting systems. (B2)
Provide guidance/assistance to students in the use of technology and library materials. (B2)
Prepare library statistics reports by compiling relevant library data. (B2)
Monitor functionality of hardware and software on Library computers. (A1)
Maintain records of items received, stored, issued, and returned in library database. (A1)
Process incoming and outgoing materials requests using an integrated library system. (A1)
Maintain the library's security by ensuring safe handling of library materials. (A1)
Prepare book displays to address relevant promotional topics. (A1)
Find substitute titles when requested library materials are unavailable. (A1)
Performs other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.
