The student assistant would check-in journals and newspapers that arrive daily and shelve them in the periodicals room, current reading area, newspapers and or basement. Responsible for sorting and delivering mail to the various areas within the library. Assist Acquisitions Team with unpacking and checking in book orders. Other individual projects as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Data entry

  • Shelving

  • Lifting boxes (sometimes heavy)

  • Sorting of mail

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Attention to details

  • Basic computer skills

  • Able to lift heavy boxes

  • Able to work independently
