Library Info Specialist 2The College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences (CULLS) seeks a full‑time Library Information Specialist 2 to provide excellent customer, circulation, and reference services along with facility oversight to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. The successful candidate will bring library and/or public service provision experience and skills, a proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, and interest in learning new skills. They will monitor daily operations and participate in implementing and communicating operating policies and procedures. They will perform moderately complex and specialized tasks in a fast‑paced public service setting within University Libraries and may coordinate, prioritize, and oversee the work of other staff and/or student employees. Regular work assignments may involve service and process improvement. Contributing to the creation of an inclusive environment for all library users is an ongoing responsibility. The position is based in Zimmerman Library with the following anticipated schedule during the academic semester: Tuesday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. During summer and intersession periods, the position would generally follow a Monday‑Friday 7 a.m.–4 p.m. schedule, though weekend day shifts may occasionally be required.The successful candidate will join Access Services, the team that helps UNM and community library users access information by providing services across multiple library buildings and online in the areas of circulation, resource sharing (Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery), technology lending, course reserves, information and research help, and collection maintenance.Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Experience performing a variety of specialized library tasks that require attention to detail and correctly implementing procedures.Experience with customer service including services delivered in person, by phone, email, chat, and/or text.Experience working independently with facilities responsibilities including opening/closing, building oversight, safety protocols, security reporting, and emergency response.Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of specialized software (SpringShare products, ILS products, ILL products).Demonstrated commitment to working effectively and collegially in a team-based environment within a diverse campus community.Benefits Eligible: This is a benefits eligible position.
