Candidate will proctor exams in Sheridan College Testing Center, including checking in patrons and collecting/scanning exams. Hours may include evenings and weekend. May include time on circulation desk and assisting library patrons.

Reports To Director of Library Services Education/Qualifications

• High school diploma required, Associates degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and work well under variable directives and situations
• Good written and oral communication
• Ability to learn on the job and apply creative solutions to routine functions and processes
• An understanding of library services and testing procedures

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Frequent interruptions
• Ability to reach overhead and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Long periods of time working with computers
• Schedule could include a combination of days/nights and possible occasional weekend hours

Proctor Exams

Percentage of time 5% Responsibility/Duty

Assist patrons with online exam access

Percentage of time 5% Responsibility/Duty

Assist with ACT testing 4-6 times/year

Percentage of time 5% Responsibility/Duty

Troubleshoot minor equipment and technology problems

Percentage of time 5% Responsibility/Duty

Assist with usage tracking for testing

Percentage of time 10% Responsibility/Duty
