    TAFE NSW Life-Changing Careers

    Library Technician - Grade 1

    Location: Tamworth

    Permanent Part-Time, 14 hours per week

    Plus, creation of a talent pool for the locations of Armidale, Bathurst, Orange, Tamworth

    $85,313 – $101,315 salary package - includes base salary ($75,164 - $89,263), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading (paid pro-rata)

    About the role

    As a Library Technician with TAFE NSW, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of innovative library and information services. You will help create a welcoming, vibrant and inclusive library environment, support the use of digital technologies and maintain library collections and systems to provide positive learning experiences for our diverse range of learners.

    About you 

    You are an experienced Library Technician with an accredited Diploma of Library and Information Science and are eligible for membership with ALIA. You have a passion to support learning through access to library services and resources and enjoy helping customers to use digital systems, library technologies, and equipment, providing guidance to access information and resolve issues.

    You’re a motivated and organised team player, and take care to maintain records, collections, and facilities accurately. Adaptable and flexible, you can respond to changing needs in a dynamic environment and are willing to travel between network libraries as per business requirements.
