Job Summary

Job Summary

The Library Technician manages the daily operation of the school library, including circulation, cataloging, inventory control, textbook distribution, and recordkeeping. This position assists students and staff with locating library resources, supports literacy programs and events, maintains an organized and welcoming library environment, and utilizes library management software to track materials and records. The Library Technician may also provide student supervision and support student aides or volunteers as assigned.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to learn and utilize circulation software and internet-based applications Must pass required fingerprint-based background check (Live Scan) and all employment eligibility clearances as required by law CPR certification required Proof of negative Tuberculin required Education and Experience (Preferred) Associate's degree or 48 college units preferred Three or more years of increasingly responsible experience in a library, media center, instructional materials environment, or closely related clerical/inventory role preferred
