Job Description
The Center for Child Well-Being, housed within the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri School of Medicine, seeks a licensed behavioral health clinical consultant to support children involved with the Department of Social Services.
The clinical consultant builds collaborative relationships with Children's Division staff, caregivers, behavioral health providers, and other professionals involved in a child's care to help children access appropriate services. This role works across systems to gather and clarify relevant behavioral health information, identify needs and barriers to care, connect youth and their care teams with appropriate resources, and facilitate communication and coordination among those involved in the child's care to support successful outcomes.
The clinical consultant also participates in multidisciplinary workgroups and other collaborative initiatives focused on strengthening behavioral health services and improving outcomes for children. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, sound clinical judgment, strong organizational abilities, and the capability to navigate complex behavioral health and child welfare systems while maintaining a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or social work and relevant licensure (or eligible to be licensed within 12 months) within the State of Missouri.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: Master's degree in social work
Credentials: LCSW or LMSW
Years of Experience: 5
Niche Professional Interests: Behavioral Health Systems of Care
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $52,000 - $56,000 annually for .80 FTE, or $65,000 - $70,000 for 1.0 FTE
Grade: GGS - 010
