Our companies are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to join our engineering team. This role will focus primarily on either engineering support for specialized transport, lifting, and rigging operations or the design and development of specialized structural moving and lifting equipment.
This is a unique opportunity to apply engineering principles to projects unlike anything found in traditional consulting or manufacturing. Responsibilities will vary based on the successful candidate's experience and primary assignment, and may include:
- Develop engineered lifting, rigging, transport, or traffic control plans for specialized heavy transport and structural moving projects.
- Perform structural, mechanical, or load analysis to verify safety, stability, and performance.
- Collaborate with operations, project managers, fabricators, and field personnel to develop practical engineering solutions.
- Ensure designs and engineering work comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Design, analyze, and refine specialized equipment and engineered systems used in heavy lifting and transport applications.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation.
- Support continuous improvement through innovative engineering and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) required
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Experience in structural analysis, equipment design, transportation engineering, construction engineering, or related disciplines preferred
- Experience in manufacturing design or traffic plans preferred
- Experience with SolidWorks, CAD, and engineering analysis software preferred
- Construction, heavy civil, structural steel, lifting, rigging, or heavy equipment experience is a plus
