TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Bronx, NY for our client, supporting behavioral health services, clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and care coordination. This role works with families receiving supportive services and partners with case management and program leadership to address complex mental health and substance use needs. The ideal candidate can provide clinical guidance and independently complete behavioral health evaluations.
Responsibilities as the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):
Clinical Assessments: Conduct psychosocial assessments and behavioral health evaluations while identifying appropriate interventions and service needs.
Care Coordination: Collaborate with case management and program teams to coordinate services and connect clients with appropriate behavioral health resources.
Crisis Intervention: Provide clinical support during behavioral health crises, including de-escalation, safety planning, and stabilization efforts.
Staff Support: Guide program staff on behavioral health needs, client engagement, trauma-informed care, and effective intervention strategies.
Group Services: Facilitate psychoeducational and supportive groups addressing mental health, substance use, and related client needs.
Clinical Documentation: Maintain timely and accurate assessments, evaluations, intervention records, and other required clinical documentation.
Qualifications for the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW):
Education: Master's degree in Social Work is required.
Licensure: Active New York State LCSW license is required.
Certification: Ability to complete required CPR/First Aid, confidentiality, trauma-informed care, overdose prevention, crisis intervention, and program compliance training within 6 months of hire is required.
Experience: Clinical experience providing behavioral health assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, or related services is required, with qualified new graduates considered.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of mental health, substance use, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and services for vulnerable populations is required.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use clinical documentation, case management, and reporting systems are required.
Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, collaboration, and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
