Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide mental health services at a correctional facility in Soledad, CA. This role demands a professional who is prepared to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, offering mental health support and counseling to a diverse inmate population.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Provide therapeutic counseling and support to inmates struggling with mental health issues, substance abuse, and the psychological effects of incarceration.
• Maintain diligent and confidential patient records in compliance with legal, ethical, and facility standards.
• Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment strategies and patient progress.
• Offer crisis intervention services and develop discharge plans to promote sustained recovery and reintegration.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current LCSW license in California.
• Proven experience as a LCSW, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in correctional facilities.
• Deep knowledge of HIPAA and relevant state and federal regulations pertaining to social work in correctional settings.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
