Full job description
Avalon Medical Center is hiring a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Avalon Medical Center is a busy outpatient clinic which caters to all populations dealing with cognitive disorders and mental health related disorders. We offer Neuropsychological evaluations, psychotherapy and cognitive rehabilitation treatments.
LCSW responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating clients to determine their needs and the support options that can help them
- Creating individualized care plans for each client
- Referring clients to community resources to help their specific situations
- Collaborating with other care providers to coordinate services
- Monitoring clients
- Maintaining records of treatments and services
- Providing talk therapy
- Responding to crisis situations
Qualifications:
- Empathy and emotional intelligence
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of various therapy options and treatments
- Familiarity with local resources that could help individuals and families
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Organizational and case management skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical records
- Ability to collaborate and work well as part of a team
