Licensed Clinical Supervisor & Therapist

Role:The part-time, 10-month, non-exempt, in-person Clinical Supervisor & Therapist for Counseling Services position is responsible for the clinical supervision oftherapist staff, trainees, and interns. The Clinical Supervisor assists in promoting the development and maintenance of psychological counseling services, whichcontribute to the academic success of our campus student community. This role will also assist with the administrative functions of the counseling servicesoffered to Concordia students, including maintenance and development of wellness resources, training, and support of counseling staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to accomplish each of the below duties satisfactorily:

Clinical & General Duties

1. Provides direct counseling service hours to Concordia University Irvine students, using individual and group modalities
2. Responds to mental health crisis
3. Makes appropriate counseling referrals to on- and off-campus resources
4. Completes appropriate tracking and documentation of counseling work
5. Works in a collaborative manner with Health Services staff
6. Maintains procedures and protocols that are in compliance with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences

Supervision

1. Supervises MSW, MFT, and PCC interns and trainees, per professional board requirements
2. Develops supervision and evaluation skills
3. Reviews and signs off on notes for trainees and interns
4. Recruits counseling trainees

Administration, Management & General Duties

1. Completes appropriate tracking and documentation of counseling work
2. Develops and maintains counseling services
3. Refinement of data collection and documentation of counseling work
4. Develops and maintains appropriate procedures and protocols for the provision of psychological care services
5. Demonstrates knowledge of the current risks faced by Counseling Services in higher education
6. Ensures appropriate scheduling of Counseling Services interns and trainees
7. Attends Wellness Center staff meetings other meetings, as requested
8. Participates in university-sponsored events, as needed
9. Ongoing maintenance/development of relationships with other campus leaders/faculty in other areas that assist in bridging students to counselingservices
10. Provides educational programming to CUI stakeholders
11. Promotes counseling services to the campus community
12. Other duties, as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

Master's degree in counseling or related field; one to two years of related experience in a college/university counseling center; or an equivalent combination of
experience and education is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

• Active license in California Board of Behavioral Sciences in one of the following
  • Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
  • Licensed Clinical Psychologist

• Current supervision training

Part-Time Staff, Non-Exempt

$42-45/hr
