Job Summary:
CNEMG is seeking a talented and energized Clinical Therapist to join their Outpatient Women’s Behavioral Health Program (WBH) at Women & Infants Hospital. The Clinical Therapist will provide care in our outpatient clinic to pregnant and postpartum patients who present with a wide variety of mental health concerns in the perinatal period. The Clinical Therapist will have the opportunity to work alongside an incredible multidisciplinary team of perinatal experts and trainees to provide high-quality clinical care. The position offers paid time off, medical, dental and other benefits. Incentive pay beyond the expectations of the role is available but not mandatory.

Duties and Responsibilities:

PRIMARY CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries individual outpatient caseload of perinatal patients under the supervision of the Program Director

Conducts Initial Psychiatric Evaluations and care coordination as defined by hospital policy and The Joint Commission standards

Collaborates with multidisciplinary team regarding care coordination, treatment planning, and clinical/behavioral concerns

Completes screening and/or evaluations for patients who are at risk for suicide including CSSRS, Risk Assessment and when indicated, safety plans.

Opportunity to contribute to growth of WBH, including expanding outpatient areas of expertise, developing new intensive outpatient programming, and increasing access to services.

Performs other job-related duties as requested

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Clinical Therapist will have the opportunity to supervise unlicensed clinicians and contribute to the Women’s Behavioral Health training programming.

Requirements:

Master's degree required.

Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience

Independent Therapy license required; LICSW, LMHC, LMFT

Training and Experience: Experience in a psychiatric/mental health setting is required. Interest in perinatal mental health is required. Training will be provided by experts in the field who are working within the same program. Experience in providing group and individual therapy preferable.

Special Qualifications: Interest in and commitment to the programs in Women’s Behavioral Health and the Dept of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown.

Mental Demands: Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, able to collaborate and work alongside a multi-disciplinary staff

Language: Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish is a plus.

Research: Interest in developing one’s own program of research is welcome
