- Classify merchandise using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and determine applicable duties, taxes, and fees.

- Ensure compliance with Partner Government Agency (PGA) requirements, including FDA, USDA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies as applicable.

- Coordinate with internal freight forwarding, NVOCC, and operations teams, as well as external clients, carriers, and government agencies, to resolve shipment holds, discrepancies, or documentation issues.

- Monitor changes in trade regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements, and advise clients and internal teams accordingly.

- Maintain accurate records of entries, classifications, and duty payments in accordance with CBP recordkeeping requirements.

- Support internal audits and ensure adherence to company compliance policies and regulatory standards.

- Assist with duty drawback, bonded warehouse, and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) processes as needed.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with freight forwarding and logistics teams to ensure seamless door-to-door shipment handling.

Qualifications

- Active U.S. Customs Broker License issued by CBP (required).

- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or trade compliance, ideally within an NVOCC or logistics environment.

- Strong working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, CBP regulations, and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system.

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple entries across ocean and air shipments simultaneously.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external partners.

- Proficiency with customs entry software and Microsoft Office applications.

- Bachelor's degree in international trade, logistics, business, or a related field preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
