Licensed Dietitian

Role Summary

Elevate the quality of life for our residents through expert nutritional leadership and compassionate care. As a Licensed Dietitian, you will be the primary advocate for resident health, ensuring that every meal, snack, and supplement meets the highest standards of nutrition and taste. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical assessment with creative meal planning, all within a supportive environment that values resident independence and choice. You will work closely with medical staff and culinary teams to ensure that nutritional care plans are executed with precision, safety, and a personal touch.

Key Duties:

  • Clinical Nutritional Oversight: Direct and manage the nutritional care for all residents, ensuring full alignment with physician orders, state/federal regulations, and individualized care plans.

  • Nutritional Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of residents' nutritional needs and maintain detailed, accurate documentation of the care provided.

  • Meal Excellence: Collaborate to ensure that nutritious, appetizing, and high-quality meals and supplements are prepared and served in an inviting, pleasant atmosphere.

  • Resident Advocacy: Promote resident independence and respect personal choices within the framework of their clinical care plans.

  • Communication & Collaboration: Actively receive and share information regarding resident conditions with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic health management.

  • Safety & Compliance: Maintain rigorous adherence to infection control procedures, OSHA, and CDC guidelines, especially concerning blood-borne pathogens and food safety.

  • Privacy & Ethics: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and privacy regarding resident information and medical records.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of an accredited college program in Dietetics or a related field.

  • Licensure/Certification: Current Registration with the American Dietetic Association (RDN) and/or state licensure as a Licensed Dietitian (LD) as required.

  • Skills: Ability to measure and comprehend clinical quantities and communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

  • Compliance: Ability to fulfill all obligations under the Corporate Compliance Program and follow relevant laws and regulations.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience: Prior work experience in a long-term care or clinical facility is preferred.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to observe and report changes in resident conditions to appropriate medical staff promptly.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort with clinical documentation systems and nutritional software.


Location and Work Type

  • Work Type: Contract Clinician

  • Schedule: * Flexible 8 or 12-hour shifts.

    • No Weekends Required.

  • Contract Length: Standard contract with longer-term extensions available upon request.
