Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a Licensed Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman to support the assembly and electrical wiring of E-Units and Power Units used in data center and oil & gas applications.
This position focuses on building and wiring electrical panels, installing controls and electrical components, troubleshooting systems, and performing testing and quality inspections. Candidates must hold a current Electrical Apprentice License or Journeyman License and be able to work safely with electrical drawings, schematics, components, and applicable electrical codes.
The ideal candidate has industrial electrical, panel-building, or control-wiring experience and is interested in working on critical power infrastructure for rapidly growing industries.
Required Experience & Skills
Current Electrical Apprentice License or Journeyman License required
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Ability to read electrical blueprints and drawings
Understanding of electrical wiring and installation practices
Familiarity with electrical hand tools and testing equipment
Ability to install electrical components accurately
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and components
Understanding of applicable electrical safety practices
Strong attention to detail and workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
Strong commitment to workplace and electrical safety
Ability to work the full MondayFriday schedule
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Build electrical panels for E-Units and Power Units
Wire panels according to applicable electrical drawings and schematics
Install electrical components and controls
Route and terminate wiring according to specifications
Assemble electrical systems used in critical power applications
Read and follow electrical blueprints
Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Perform electrical testing on completed assemblies
Inspect completed electrical work for quality and accuracy
Troubleshoot wiring and electrical component issues
Identify incorrect connections or defective components
Correct electrical concerns when required
Verify completed work meets applicable requirements
Follow NEC standards and company electrical procedures
Work closely with Production and Engineering personnel
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all company safety requirements
Perform additional electrical assembly duties as assigned
Electrical Panel Building & Wiring
Candidates may regularly perform:
Panel assembly
Component installation
Control wiring
Power wiring
Wire routing
Wire termination
Electrical component mounting
Panel layout
Electrical testing
Troubleshooting
Previous panel-building or industrial control-wiring experience is preferred.
E-Units & Power Units
This position supports the manufacturing and assembly of electrical equipment used in:
Data centers
Oil & gas operations
Critical power infrastructure
Industrial applications
Power-related systems
Candidates should be comfortable working from engineered drawings and specifications to ensure each unit is wired and assembled correctly.
Blueprint & Schematic Responsibilities
Candidates must be able to:
Read electrical schematics
Interpret electrical blueprints
Follow wiring diagrams
Identify electrical components and connections
Determine proper wire routing and termination
Follow applicable project specifications
Compare completed electrical work against drawings
Identify discrepancies and communicate concerns
Electrical Testing & Troubleshooting
Perform applicable testing on completed electrical assemblies
Use electrical testing equipment safely
Verify wiring and connections
Identify electrical faults
Troubleshoot components and circuits
Correct wiring issues when appropriate
Communicate more complex problems to Engineering or supervision
Help ensure completed systems meet applicable quality requirements
Code & Safety Responsibilities
Perform work according to applicable NEC requirements
Follow company electrical safety procedures
Use hand and electrical testing tools safely
Follow applicable Lockout/Tagout procedures when required
Maintain awareness around energized or potentially energized systems
Wear required PPE
Maintain clean and safe electrical assembly areas
Report unsafe conditions promptly

Journeyman Candidates
Licensed Journeymen should be prepared to demonstrate:
Current Journeyman License
Strong electrical installation skills
Advanced schematic-reading ability
Electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently
Knowledge of applicable NEC requirements
Strong workmanship and quality standards
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
Manual dexterity required for wiring, termination, and electrical assembly
Ability to safely use hand and electrical testing tools
Ability to work around electrical panels, equipment, and production machinery
Comfortable performing hands-on electrical assembly throughout extended shifts
Ability to safely wear required PPE
Work Environment
Industrial electrical assembly and manufacturing environment
