Location: This is an on-site position based in Albion, MI. You will work closely with our engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams in a hands-on environment where your work directly supports real-world products and projects.
Note: Candidates must be a Licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering and should have 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, ideally within solar, manufacturing, industrial, automation, or product development environments.

Job Description
- Design and review electrical systems, schematics, drawings, and layouts.
- Provide stamped electrical engineering drawings where required.
- Ensure projects and products comply with NEC, UL, local AHJ, and applicable electrical code requirements.
- Support product development initiatives, especially related to solar systems, mounting system integration, and balance-of-system components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve electrical processes, automation, efficiency, and production support.
- Interface with customers, contractors, inspectors, and internal stakeholders as needed.
- Develop internal electrical engineering standards, documentation, and best practices.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action for field or production issues.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, manufacturing, and leadership to solve technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Electrical Engineering required.
- 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical codes, and compliance requirements.
- Experience designing and reviewing electrical systems, schematics, and layouts.
- Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar platforms.
- Solar, inverter, balance-of-system, manufacturing, industrial, or product development experience preferred.
- Experience with UL certifications, product listing, automation, controls, PLCs, or sensors is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
