Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Journeyman Electrician at SemiConX. The Electrician will be located at a semiconductor facility in Boise, Idaho.
Qualifications
Experience:This position will require the applicant to be licensed in Idaho. Idaho hasreciprocity agreementsfor journeyman electricians with the following 12 states: Colorado, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, and Wyoming
**Electrical Installations: **Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, lighting, and control systems in commercial, and industrial settings.
**System Troubleshooting: **Diagnose electrical issues and malfunctions using testing equipment such as multimeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.
**Blueprint Interpretation: **Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to plan and execute projects.
**Code Compliance: **Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
**Equipment Maintenance: **Inspect electrical components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and panel boards to ensure proper functioning.
**Safety Procedures: **Follow strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to ensure a safe working environment.
**Collaboration: **Work with other professionals, including engineers and contractors, to complete projects on time and within budget.
**Emergency Repairs: **Respond to emergency service calls to troubleshoot and fix electrical problems promptly.
**Inventory Management: **Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory required for the job.
**Training & Mentorship: **Assist in training apprentices and junior electricians.
**Documentation: **Complete work orders, logs, and reports detailing services performed and materials used.
Using math:Using math skills like algebra, geometry, and trigonometry to guide electrical work
Communicating:Demonstrating verbal and written communication abilities
Working in a team:Working well in a team environment
OSHA 10 or 30 Required:OSHA 30 for supervisory positions and OSHA 10 for all others.
Possess the necessary English language skills, both verbally and in writing, to effectively perform the responsibilities of the position.
