Manage Chicago, Inc. is seeking a Chicago Licensed Electrician to support electrical repairs, maintenance, and installations across multiple apartment buildings and properties throughout Chicago. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and operating properly for residents and building operations.

We’re looking for someone dependable who takes pride in their work and is comfortable troubleshooting electrical issues, completing repairs, and handling a variety of electrical service requests.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues in residential units and common building areas
  • Install, repair, and replace electrical wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and circuit breakers
  • Maintain and service electrical panels, subpanels, and building electrical systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and building systems
  • Install and repair interior and exterior lighting systems
  • Test circuits and electrical components using appropriate testing equipment
  • Ensure electrical systems comply with Chicago electrical codes and safety standards
  • Respond to maintenance service calls and electrical emergencies when necessary
  • Assist with electrical work related to building renovations or unit turnovers
  • Identify potential electrical hazards and recommend repairs or upgrades
  • Work closely with property managers and maintenance staff to coordinate repairs and projects
  • Maintain tools, materials, and supplies needed to complete work orders
  • Document completed work and report any major issues requiring further attention

Qualifications

  • Active Chicago Electrician License required
  • Experience working in apartment buildings or multi-unit properties preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Knowledge of electrical panels, circuits, wiring, and building systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage service calls
  • Professional and reliable work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
