As a Fire Alarm Technician you will be responsible for the installation maintenance inspection and repair of fire alarm systems in various commercial and residential buildings. The technician ensures that all fire alarm systems comply with local state and federal regulations. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and a commitment to safety.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and program fire alarm systems including panels sensors and related components.Perform routine maintenance and testing of fire alarm systems to ensure proper operation.Conduct thorough inspections of fire alarm systems to identify and resolve any issues or potential problems.Troubleshoot and repair faulty fire alarm systems and components.Ensure all fire alarm systems meet relevant codes regulations and standards.Maintain accurate records of inspections maintenance and repairs.Provide excellent service to customers answering any questions and addressing concerns about fire safety.Respond to emergency service requests in a timely and efficient manner.QualificationsMust hold a valid Fire Alarm Technician license as required by the state of Massachusetts.Minimum of 2 years experience in the installation maintenance and repair of fire alarm systems.High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training in fire alarm systems is preferred.Preferred SkillsStrong understanding of fire alarm systems and components.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.Proficient with hand and power tools used in the trade.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and customer service skills.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift and carry heavy equipment climb ladders and work in confined spaces.Working ConditionsMay work in various environments including offices schools hotels and industrial sites.May be required to work evenings weekends and on-call shifts as needed.Exposure to the elements when working outdoors and to dust and noise in construction and industrial settings.As a member of the DUFamily of Companies we believe that investing and empowering our employees as leaders we will develop an organization that delivers innovative solutions and services that create a superior customer experience.
