Summary
The Undiagnosed Disease Program (UDP) at CHOP is currently recruiting a full-time ABG/CABMG Board Certified Genetic Counselor III to join this exciting program with a growing multidisciplinary team. Prior experience in a multidisciplinary clinic, translational research program, and/or managing small teams or research results is an asset.
The Undiagnosed Disease Program
The UDP is a clinical and translational research bridge program focused on offering personalized care and cutting-edge diagnostics for families who are struggling to pinpoint the cause of their childs condition. The program is part of CHOPs Omics Initiative and harnesses the knowledge of clinical and research experts from across CHOP, plus the power of comprehensive genetic analysis and other advanced diagnostic tools to improve diagnosis and treatment of undiagnosed diseases. This position may include involvement in other Omics Initiative efforts.

Job Responsibilities
The UDP Genetic Counselor III (GC III) job responsibilities will include:
A Brief Overview
Clinical or research-based genetic counselor with demonstrated advanced-level genetic counseling expertise and/or recognized as a point-of-contact for a specialized patient population or clinical program, along with providing efforts consistent with the mission of the Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia.
Additionally, this position involves an enhanced level of participation and responsibilities within, but not exclusive of, at least one of the following:
This position includes active participation within the Section of Genetic Counseling. If acceptable by clinical leadership within the GCs Division, this role is able to engage in Incident-to Follow Up Genetic counseling visits for established patients to the practice to assist with returning test results, updating medical and family histories, reviewing testing options, and evaluating familial recurrence risks.

$89,840.00 - $114,550.00 Annually
