Were seeking a Licensed Journeyman Solar AC Electrical Foreman to oversee the construction, installation, and modification of electrical systems, appliances, and related controls. This role requires someone who can work both independently and collaboratively to meet project goals and exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty systems, devices, and parts using electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
Identify and resolve issues within AC/DC electrical systems, ensuring optimal system performance.
Analyze electrical systems, equipment, and components to detect hazards, defects, and maintenance needs while ensuring code compliance.
Test the continuity and safety of circuits within wiring, equipment, and fixtures to confirm system integrity.
Provide feedback to management regarding potential hazards or performance issues.
Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs on electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures including work performed on ladders, scaffolding, and roofs.
Execute physically demanding tasks such as trench digging, conduit installation, and extended periods of bending, crouching, and lifting.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, safety documentation, and project-related materials.
Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify and correct electrical or safety issues on site.
Required Qualifications
Active California Journeyman Electrician License (required).
Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial, industrial, or solar electrician in a journeyman capacity.
Solid understanding of electrical theory, high and low voltage systems, power generation, and switchgear maintenance.
Demonstrated knowledge of job site safety protocols and ability to perform pre-task hazard assessments.
Proficiency with electrical testing tools and troubleshooting equipment.
Strong ability to work independently, manage priorities, and coordinate with others effectively.
OSHA 10 certification required.
Valid drivers license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 certification
Experience leading teams on large-scale solar or industrial projects
Schedule and Travel
This is not a standard 95 role. The Electrical Site Lead must have flexibility and the ability to travel to different job sites as needed throughout Southern California.
