We are seeking an experienced Survey Manager / Professional Land Surveyor to plan, organize, and direct surveying operations and personnel.

<\/div>
This role oversees surveyors and technicians performing boundary, topographic, construction, utility, and subsurface utility engineering (SUE) surveys.
<\/div>

<\/div>
The successful candidate will ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, quality control, and safe work practices while supporting client relationships and business development initiatives.
<\/div>

Immigration sponsorship or work authorization support (including H -1B, F -1 CPT/OPT/STEM OPT) is not available for this role, except for candidates eligible under the TN visa classification.

Key Responsibilities 
<\/div>

<\/div>
The Survey Manager will assemble and review field data, perform survey calculations, and prepare legal descriptions. This role manages multiple field crews and oversees day -to -day surveying operations while ensuring quality assurance and quality control across all project deliverables.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Responsibilities include preparing and monitoring project budgets, overseeing billing, and maintaining direct client relationships.
<\/div>

<\/div>
The position supports business development activities within the surveying discipline and represents the company in meetings with clients and prospective clients.
<\/div>

<\/div>
This role also provides leadership and ongoing performance management, including setting expectations, defining goals, providing feedback, conducting one -on -one meetings, and coaching team members to support professional growth. 
<\/div><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
Required Qualifications
<\/div>

<\/div>
Candidates must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast -paced, team -oriented environment and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
<\/div>

<\/div>
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Applicants must have a general understanding of survey plan preparation using Inroads, MicroStation, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
<\/div>

<\/div>
A minimum of 10 years of professional surveying experience is required, along with an active Tennessee Professional Registered Land Surveyor (RLS) license.
<\/div>

<\/div>
A working knowledge of federal, state, and local surveying regulations is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience with subsurface utility engineering (SUE), utility designating, and locating is preferred.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Familiarity with aerial mapping, LiDAR scanning, and small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) is a plus. Working Conditions This position is primarily office -based, with approximately 95% of work performed in a general office environment.
<\/div>

<\/div>
The role is largely sedentary but may require occasional standing and walking.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Periodic field work is required and may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, or humid environments.
<\/div>

<\/div>
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
<\/div>
