Job Summary

The role of Full Time Massage Therapist is a unique part of the clinical team. The Massage Therapist will have strong technical ability, a professional demeanor, and a genuine passion for helping clients achieve improved wellness, recovery, and relaxation. This role is integral to providing exceptional client experiences, aligning with our practice's commitment to high-quality care. 

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties

• Perform a variety of massage therapy techniques (e.g., Swedish, deep tissue, sports, therapeutic, prenatal, or specialty services as licensed and trained).

• Assess clients' needs, medical history, and treatment goals to provide safe, customized services.

• Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming treatment environment in compliance with practice and OSHA standards.

• Educate clients on appropriate self-care, stretching, and complementary wellness practices.

• Document treatment notes accurately in client charts (in compliance with HIPAA requirements).

• Collaborate with other team members and providers to support an integrated client care approach.

• Assist with promoting services, treatment plans, and membership or package options when applicable.

• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including rotating Saturdays and occasional coverage at other practice locations as needed.

Secondary Duties

• Maintains treatment rooms and work areas in compliance with OSHA standards.

• Participates and attends in-service educational programs and staff meetings.

• Tracks referral sources, sends thank-you letters to the source, and posts consultation letters to the patient.

• Orders and stocks inventory and supplies as needed for maintaining treatment rooms.

• Maintain a valid massage therapist license in accordance with state regulations.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Active State of AL License Massage Therapist License

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a spa, medical, or wellness setting.

• Empathetic with patient needs and concerns.

• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic massage techniques.

• Commitment to client confidentiality, professionalism, and HIPAA compliance.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as required for equipment or client assistance.
