What You’ll Do

• Conduct intake assessments, diagnoses, and therapeutic treatments for patients
• Collaborate with psychiatric staff in diagnostic and treatment planning
• Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions
• Assist with hospitalization arrangements and post-discharge follow-up
• Contribute to multidisciplinary team conferences and treatment planning
• Offer consultation to facility staff, including nurses and case managers
• Maintain accurate documentation, case records, and reports

What You Need
Required:

• Alaska licensure as LCSW or LPC
• Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field
• Experience in mental health assessment and psychotherapy
• Ability to work effectively in a correctional health setting

Preferred:

• Experience providing mental health services in correctional or institutional environments
• Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
