We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor / Bilingual Spanish to join our team at a multi-specialty practice located in Queens, New York. This role focuses on providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health counseling services to patients in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
New York State license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
New graduates are welcome to apply.
Must be bilingual in Spanish.
Proficient in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, using evidence-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, MI, etc.), and maintaining electronic health records.
Strong active listening and empathy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, cultural competence, patience, a nonjudgmental attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including clinical interviews, psychosocial histories, and mental status examinations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnoses, and goals.
Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based modalities appropriate for the patient population.
Diagnose mental health disorders according to DSM-5 criteria and coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, primary care physicians, and other providers.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, treatment options, and community resources.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide crisis intervention when appropriate.
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Stay current with best practices, continuing education requirements, and licensure renewal obligations.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and New York State regulations.
