We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team at a multi-specialty practice in Queens, NY. In this role, you'll provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health counseling to patients in a collaborative care setting.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program.
Active New York State license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
New graduates are welcome to apply.
Bilingual in Spanish (required).
Proficient in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, applying evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, MI, etc.), and maintaining electronic health records.
Strong active listening and empathy, excellent verbal and written communication, cultural competence, patience, a nonjudgmental attitude, and the ability to collaborate with other providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including clinical interviews, psychosocial histories, and mental status examinations.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnoses, and goals.
Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based modalities appropriate for the patient population.
Diagnose mental health disorders per DSM-5 criteria and coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, primary care physicians, and other providers.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, treatment options, and community resources.
Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records, in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide crisis intervention when appropriate.
Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and licensure renewal obligations.
Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and New York State regulations.
