Overview

Shift: PRN, as needed; 24 hours per month, with at least one weekend shift required

Join our Crisis Services team at the Robert Young Center as a Licensed Mental Health Professional! In this role, you will provide mental health assessments, interventions, and consultations to individuals experiencing psychiatric and behavioral health crises. Under the general supervision of the Department Manager, you will develop and coordinate individualized treatment plans, provide ongoing support and follow-up, and collaborate with the care team to connect patients with the appropriate services and resources.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to support patients with a variety of mental health needs.
• Complete crisis evaluations and coordinate care with inpatient behavioral health units, crisis services, and emergency departments when needed.
• Collaborate with community agencies, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid, CARF, HIPAA, and accreditation standards.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to provisionally licensed clinicians, interns, and students as needed.
• Meet clinical productivity standards while delivering compassionate, high-quality behavioral health services in accordance with UnityPoint Health values.

Qualifications

Education:

• Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Current licensure in good standing in Illinois or Iowa as one of the following:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)

• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
