    Description

    Job Title: Licensed Nurse (LVN)

    Schedule: Overnight Shift – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

    About the Role:

    We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Nurse (LVN) to join our team for weekend overnight shifts.

    In this role, you will provide direct patient care, manage medications, and collaborate with our clinical staff to ensure the health and safety of our residents. You will be a vital part of our mission to provide superior mental health services and support residents through their treatment protocols.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide direct patient care in accordance with the California Nurse Practice Act.
    • Administer medications per the 7 rights of medication administration.
    • Conduct nursing assessments, monitor vital signs (including orthostatic vitals), and track height/weight.
    • Provide accurate, timely documentation and participate in administrative duties such as charting and medical reporting.
    • Communicate resident status and clinical concerns effectively with physicians and the Director of Nursing.
    • Monitor for adverse reactions to medication or treatment.
    • Assist in patient admissions and discharges, as well as providing education on health maintenance and prevention techniques to residents and families.
    • Handle urgent and emergent situations calmly and in accordance with company policies.
    • Assist patients with hygiene routines and schedules.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited LVN nursing program.
    • License: Must possess a current and unencumbered active license to practice as an LVN in the State of California.
    • Skills: Ability to identify a crisis, confront behavioral changes, and demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and technical skills.
    • Commitment: Must demonstrate a calm, professional demeanor, good judgment, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-moving, high-stress environment.
    • Diversity: Ability to demonstrate respect for the cultural and lifestyle diversities of both patients and staff.
    • Availability: Ability to work 12-hour shifts.

    Work Environment & Physical Demands

    • Work is performed in a clean, well-lit, and well-ventilated residential healthcare facility.
    • Requires frequent communication and use of hands/fingers for clinical tasks.
    • Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Exposure to moderate noise levels and potential hazards (e.g., bodily fluids) is possible.
