Description
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Master’s Level Therapist to provide mental health and substance abuse counseling services to adolescents, adults, and families. The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health, knowledge of ASAM criteria, co-occurring disorders, crisis intervention, and individualized treatment planning. This role involves conducting assessments, facilitating therapy sessions, coordinating care, and supporting clients on their path to recovery and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
Provide individual, group, and family therapy for clients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency, state, and federal standards
Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed
Provide crisis intervention and relapse prevention support
Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, medical providers, and community resources to coordinate client care
Educate clients and families on mental health, addiction, coping strategies, and recovery resources
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in compliance with HIPAA and professional licensing regulations
Participate in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
Experience working with mental health and/or substance abuse populations preferred
Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and 12 Steps.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Experience
Co-occurring disorders treatment
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive outpatient (IOP), or outpatient behavioral health services
Crisis stabilization or community mental health experience
Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation systems
Schedule
Monday–Friday
Evening hours may be required based on client needs
