Licensed Pharmacy Benefits Specialist
Location: The Colony, TX | Onsite
COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
$22.00/hour
Full-time, W2
8-hour shifts scheduled between 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST
Weekend and holiday rotation required
Start Date: August 24, 2026
Training Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
ROLE IMPACT
As a Pharmacy Benefits Support Specialist, you'll play an important role in helping patients and pharmacy partners navigate prescription benefit questions and claim-related concerns. You'll provide timely, accurate support while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Success in this role is driven by strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond to patient and pharmacy inquiries by phone, email, and chat.
Investigate and resolve prescription claim issues, benefit questions, and coverage concerns.
Process prior authorization and benefit-related requests while accurately documenting activity within internal systems.
Educate patients on pharmacy benefits, coverage options, and required next steps.
Escalate complex cases to the appropriate internal departments to ensure timely resolution.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Active Pharmacy Technician license required.
3+ years of previous experience supporting pharmacy benefits, healthcare claims, or insurance verification.
Familiarity with CRM, ticketing, or case management platforms.
Bilingual language skills are a plus.
High school diploma or GED required.
Employee must obtain PTCB or ExCPT certification within six (6) months of hire if not currently certified.
Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, team-oriented environment.
