Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician

Work Location: 281 SHORE DR, UNITS C AND D, Burr Ridge, IL
Contract to Hire: 03/23/2026 to 09/18/2026

Schedule:

  • Primary Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Weekend Rotation: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required based on business needs

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Floor Technician supports daily pharmacy operations by accurately preparing prescription medications for final pharmacist verification. This role is essential to maintaining workflow efficiency, ensuring medication accuracy, and complying with all regulatory and safety standards in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill daily prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist

  • Pick, label, scan, and prepare prescriptions for final pharmacist verification

  • Assist in processing returned medications, including recycling or disposal per established procedures

  • Pre-pack frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods, including labeling and storage

  • Manually package materials and products as required

  • Pull medications from shelving and storage areas, including pre-pack racks

  • Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to verify accuracy

  • Alert the pharmacist on duty to any medication or product scanning discrepancies

  • Maintain clean, organized workstations and replenish stock supplies as needed

  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA

  • Adhere to departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Active, clear Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Illinois Board of Pharmacy

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Ability to work at a consistent, moderate pace

    • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday

    • Ability to stand or sit for 7–10 hours per day

    • Ability to work extended hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a pharmacy technician
